The Portuguese 8mm Kropatschek M1886

There were four (4) models of Portuguese Kropatschek:
1) Rifle with wooden handguard.
2) Rifle without handguard.
3) Short Rifle (also refered to as 3-band carbine).
4) Carbine with turned down bolt (or 2-band carbine).
The Portuguese 8mm Kropatschek was based on a design by the Austrian Feldzeugmeister Alfred Ritter von Kropatschek (born Mar 30, 1838).
The 8x60R Kropatschek cartridge uses a .326" bullet of 247gr.
